In a Public Service Announcement (PSA) that will soon be released, Seattle Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright and a 3–year–old American Staffordshire Terrier named Meadow deliver their message.  Together they deliver a powerful message aimed at ending animal cruelty.  Their message is that “dogfighting is not a sport.”

K.J., former Seattle Seahawks safety Jordan Babineaux and MMA fighter Matt Hume are all speaking out against dogfighting in a new Public Service Announcement forPasado’s Safe Haven, a non–profit organization whose mission is to end animal cruelty.

In an interview with  Q13 FOX News the Executive Director of Pasado’s Safe Haven, Laura Henderson said:

“[Meadow] had been stuffed in box and thrown from a truck. She had life-threatening injuries.”

The pup had hundreds of scars all over her body and she had significant bite wounds to both front legs. She had purple marks on her body from a product called Wound–Kote.  Wound-Kote is used to treat wounds on livestock.

Meadow also tends to breathe very, very loudly.

aking a statement about ending dogfighting wasn’t the only reason Pasado’s Safe Haven decided to create this video, though. For them, it was a little more personal. It’s their hope that this PSA will also bring those who did this to Meadow to justice.

In fact, Pasado’s Safe Haven is offering a $2,500 reward to anyone who can help identify the “tall white man with a mustache and camouflage pants” who tossed her from a black pickup truck on June 9th.

Babineaux also had a message to share in the video.

Don’t be silent. Be a hero….If you suspect dogfighting is happening in your neighborhood or you know someone that’s involved in animal abuse, do something about it.
